The Cheese Shop
Over 65 cheeses, cut from the wheel when you order.
I choose every cheese in my case myself, from producers in Italy, France and Spain to Point Reyes in California. My cheese case stocks every board, box and grazing table I build. Taste anything you like at the counter, then take your favorites home, sold by weight in any amount. I love this counter, and my favorite part of the day is helping you find a cheese you will want to come back for.

Mascarpone’s Cheese Counter
Named after our third dog rescue
Sixty-five wheels. Nothing pre-packaged.
Whole cheese wheels on display, cut to order. Many arrive from Italy, France and Spain in their stamped rinds and wax, and every one tastes as good as it looks. You won’t find any pre-packaged retail cheese in my store. If you taste the Point Reyes Original Blue from California for the first time and love it, take home a quarter pound. That is exactly what this counter is for.

Our Cheese Case Changes With The Season.
I buy what tastes best and is in season, so a board ordered for Christmas is completely different from one ordered for Thanksgiving.
In summer
Limoncello cheese with raspberries and cucumber.
In fall
Deep aged cheddars, cranberry Gouda, figs.
Taste it on a board. Take the wedge home.
What is on my boards is what is in the case, and what is in the case is what goes on my boards. I do not keep product on the shelf that I am trying to move separately.
If something stopped you mid-bite, I can cut you a piece of it before you leave.
Knowing what to put next to it.
A block of Parmigiano Reggiano is a block of Parmigiano Reggiano. Parmigiano with local honey, a dried apricot, and a grape is a bite that works.
That is the part I am actually selling, and it is why a pairing card goes out with every board.

Cheese flights.
A guided tasting built around a single story. Four or five cheeses, arranged from soft to firm, to explore one country, one region, or different expressions of a single style. In a wooden box with a sliding lid, with a card that tells you what each one is and the order to taste them in.

Olive oils, imported grated Locatelli Romano, and the pantry things worth carrying.
“When I decided to create a private-label olive oil, I knew it had to be exceptional. After all, my family’s name was going on the bottle. I personally sampled and evaluated more than 50 olive oils before selecting the one that became Olio di Famiglia.”
